GEF Project Enhances Regional Water Management in Eswatini, Mozambique, and South Africa
Eswatini, alongside Mozambique and South Africa, is set to improve water resource management through a new initiative supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The project, reviewed during a seminar in Nelspruit, aims to strengthen integrated transboundary management of the Incomati and Maputo River Basins, focusing on regional governance, strategic planning, and sustainable livelihoods through enhanced environmental security. This initiative, facilitated by the UNDP and the Global Water Partnership, underscores a collaborative approach to addressing climate-induced challenges in the region.
