This accolade highlights RES Corp’s leadership in the integration of advanced digital tools to enhance farming efficiency and sustainability.

The award-winning project showcases RES Corp’s successful implementation of SAP’s Intelligent Agriculture solutions, combined with satellite imagery, maps, and direct crop data. This innovative approach enables the company to effectively navigate the challenges posed by global warming, geopolitical conflicts, and intense market competition.

Rob Coombe, IT Manager at RES Corp, expressed pride in the recognition, emphasizing how digital transformation has revolutionized their operations. “By integrating real-time outgrower data with agronomic models and satellite and climate data, we’ve managed to not only increase yields but also significantly cut costs and predictability,” stated Coombe.

RES Corp’s journey with SAP began in 2014, and since then, it has distinguished itself as a proactive entity in the realm of digital agriculture. It is the first company in Southern Africa to deploy over 25 SAP modules, engaging closely with the SAP Advisory Council for Agribusiness to co-innovate solutions that enhance sustainability, yield, and efficiency.

The company’s use of SAP Intelligent Agriculture is built on the SAP Business Technology Platform, enabling data-driven farming processes and services for farmers across a standardized platform with the potential for innovative partner extensions.
