At least 19 contestants were given a chance to progress to the next round of The Spotlight Season 3 which is powered by MTN Eswatini.
This transpired during the fist episode of the show that was broadcasted LIVE on Eswatini TV and MTN Eswatini Social Media Pages.
The Spotlight is an annual competition aimed at unearthing and empowering the country’s youth in the creative industry, mainly upcoming music artists.
This publication has gathered that at least 49 hopefuls sent their videos during the first and second audition weeks with the aim of showcasing their talents and garner a spot on the next stage of the competition.
While others were advised to try their luck next year, 19 of the contestants impressed judge Ndumiso Dlamini, Velemseni Ndzimandze and floewe (guest judge) and won the Y’ello Tickets.
Meanwhile, The Spotlight host Thamsanqa Nsibandze urged hopefuls to continue submitting their audition videos as the lines are still open for such.
Th winner of The Spotlight Season 3 will be announced during the Grand Finale set for December and will walk away with a car, recording deal and a phone among other prizes.
