This is at least the opinion of the President and Founder of Swaziland People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) Vusi Shongwe.

Shongwe took to his Facebook account and described Pastor Bakhe Dlamini’s comments and sentiment published by the Times of Eswatini as attempt to score cheap publicity points and appear relevant in the eyes of of the country’s authorities.

Yonder Worship Centre Founder Pastor Bakhe Dlamini was quoted by today’s Times of Eswatini saying that it’s not the churches mandate to be involved in politics something that did not sit well with many Emaswati including the SPLM president.

“Bakhe’ comments and sentiments are an unsocilated self exposure of what a fraud and clueless lumpen he is . It was better when he was only exposing his serious inabilities to apply basic common sense and restraint in other circles and matters l will not delve into,” read part of Shongwe’s post.

He said he view the comments as attempt to score cheap publicity points and appear relevant in the eyes of the regime.

Shongwe advised that it is better not to comment if there is nothing of substance to say. He reiterated that innocent civilian died while children are running in the street dangerously as they are being chased by the state police and state agents.

“Kufe innocent Swazis here and children of EmaSwati are running our streets, dangerously chased by the state police and state agents and wena here you are as opposed to using your position in society and the church in particular to advocate for peace on the side of the regime towards leSive, initiate dialogue and finding lasting solutions to the political quagmire we find ourselves in as a country ; you are busy pushing this lame tinkhundla narrative on the church and politics,” he added.
