Black Panther reaches $1bn mark in worldwide box-office takings

JOHANNESBURG – According to Forbes Marvel’s Black Panther comic book blockbuster has raked in a gross of $1-billion worldwide in its fourth weekend.
The movie has surpassed movies like The Force Awakens, which earned $42-million in 2016 and Spider Man with only $45-million.

There are predictions that the movie may be ranked as the seventh-biggest unadjusted domestic grosser of all time.
Black Panther is listed as the 33rd movie to lead the $1-billion in unregulated global earnings alongside movies such as Iron Man 3, Captain America: Civil War, and The Avengers
