The Annual Buganu Ceremony for the year 2021 has been canceled due to COVID-19 in the country and the rest of the world.
This was announced by Indvuna ye Lutsango at Hlane Beauty Gamadze during a press briefing that was held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence on Wednesday.
Making the announcement, Gamedze said Their Majesties are more concerned about the health and safety of the Lutsango Regiment.
“You are notified that there will be no Buganu Festival due to COVID-19,” announced Gamedze.
She reminded Lutsango Regiment that the collection of the marula seed to brew alcohol is prohibited in the country and therefore they should refrain from doing such.
However, Gamedze advised the regiment to collect the marula seed for the production of no-alcoholic products like jam.
