MBABANE, February 25, 2023 – In a landmark move set to transform eSwatini’s digital payments landscape, fintech firm DeltaPay and remittance service provider Instacash have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering faster, more affordable, and more secure cross-border payment solutions.
Speaking during a press briefing in Mbabane, DeltaPay Operations Manager Nolwazi Sukati emphasized that the collaboration is poised to address both local and international remittance needs. “This partnership is about driving financial inclusion across the country and providing convenient ways for people to send and receive money seamlessly,” she said.
Instacash Managing Director Mndu ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo echoed Sukati’s sentiment, highlighting the alliance’s potential to enhance security and efficiency in digital transactions. “We understand the risks associated with online payment platforms, which is why we have invested in robust cybersecurity measures. Our advanced security protocols will ensure that users’ data and funds remain protected at all times,” he explained.
Benefits for End Users
- Faster Transfers
The partnership integrates DeltaPay’s digital wallets with Instacash’s remittance platform, promising swift cross-border transfers. Users can expect near-instant transactions when sending funds to family or business contacts. - Lower Transaction Fees
By streamlining their platforms, both companies aim to reduce operational overheads, translating into reduced costs for customers—a major advantage for individuals and small businesses alike. - Improved Customer Experience
Seamless integration of digital wallets will make it easier for customers to deposit, transfer, or withdraw money on a single platform, minimizing the need to juggle multiple apps and accounts. - Increased Accessibility
With Instacash already operating in several African markets, the new synergy allows DeltaPay customers to access a broader network of receiving locations. This includes both urban and rural regions, significantly boosting financial inclusion for underserved communities. - Secure Transactions
Both DeltaPay and Instacash place a premium on data protection. They have implemented cutting-edge encryption and other robust measures to mitigate fraud and safeguard user information.
Driving Financial Inclusion
A core objective of the partnership is to extend financial services to the unbanked and underbanked segments of eSwatini’s population. By offering accessible, cost-effective digital platforms, the collaboration hopes to empower individuals who previously relied on cash-based or informal channels for day-to-day transactions.
