There has been an uproar on Social Media over the weekend after a picture of the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku was seen posing for a picture after donating a 10kg bag of mealie-meal and a 2lts of cooking oil to an elder citizen.
This publication has since gathered that the premier made this donation to Gogo Florence Ngobese on Friday during the commemoration of International Day of Older Person.
The event was held at Hhohho Emuva Umphakatsi under Hosea Inkhundla in the Shiselweni region.
The Deputy Prime Minister who’s ministry is also responsible for the welfare of the elderly citizens in the country made the donation in the presence of Chief Ndabankulu and the Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development David “Cruiser” Ngcamphalala.
The donation was met with anger by Emaswati mostly those in Social Media as they felt like the donation is will not assist the elderly citizen in any way.
