DStv has announced its annual price hike for South African subscribers which will come into effect from April.
MultiChoice South Africa Chief Executive Officer Nyiko Shiburi told the media in that country that DStv has been absorbing much of the increase in cost from content providers and bolstered the value and rewards for customers.
He said as an organization, they believed that their customers continue requiring education, information, and entertainment at the best possible price and it is for that reason that they had endeavored to keep price adjustment to the minimum and bolster value and rewards to ensure that customers continue with enjoying unrivalled access to entertainment.
Meanwhile, DStv Premium will increase from R819 to R829, DSTV Compact Plus will increase from R529 to R539. DStv Compact on the other hand will increase from R399 to 409 while DStv Family increases from R279 to R295. Lastly, DStv Access will go up from R110 to R115 per month.
Other DStv markets like Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya to name a few reportedly lowered subscription fees to caution and ease customers against their financial distress caused by COVID-19.
