The Economic Freedom Fighters of Eswatini (EFFSWA) has invited Emaswati to join the organization in a protest that will take place outside the Build It Matsapha Branch Store this coming Saturday.

The protest follows a story that was published by the Times of Eswatini which detailed how the Build It Matsapha Branch Manager allegedly assaulted a street vendor verbally.

According to this report, the Street Vendor was trying to sell her home-baked products to Build It Employees which was her daily routine.

However, things allegedly turned nasty yesterday when she was approached by the Store Manager who allegedly hurled insults to her and further kicked the products while asking her to leave the premises.

To that effect, the EFFSWA released a statement inviting Emaswati to convene outside the store this coming Saturday in protest against the Store Manager’s action.

Reached for comment, EFFSWA President Ncamiso Ngcamphalala confirmed the statement and expressed that they will b demanding justice for the street vendor.

“Indeed we will be visiting Matsapha Build It to confront racism. Racists must not hide anywhere in Africa because EFF is everywhere, even in Swaziland,” said the President.

“We want to end racism and teach the white people everywhere in the country that we are going to fight racism wherever it raises its ugly head. We also want justice for the vendor. Some demands include that Build It buys her kids uniforms and school shoes and other school material, ensure the vendor gets a proper place to run her business just to name a few,” added Ngcamphalala.

Meanwhile, an online petition is also making rounds on Social Media demanding the Store Manager to issue a public apology, compansate the Street Vendor and pay a fine to Vendors Association.

By the time of compiling this report, the online petition had garnered more than 730 signatures.
