Street Evangelist Linda has urged Emaswati to pray for the current government to have people with high morals, humanity, as well as God, fearing people.
He said Emaswati should pray so that God can give the country’s leaders knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to develop a constitution with proper laws so that the country can live in peace.
The Evangelist was one of the prominent people in the country who were dragged into the #JusticeForThabani discussions as Emaswati demanded to know his stance on this matter.
This was after the police had crushed Thabani Nkomonye’s funeral using teargas to disperse the more than 1 000 mourners that had gathered to celebrate the life of Nkomonye who allegedly died at the hands of the police. Dyas leading to the memorial service, the Acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku announced that the government had ordered the police to disperse large crowds that are in breach of the COVID-19.
To that effect, Evangelist Linda took to Facebook to say the country should pray for leaders that Emaswati will be able to tell them the truth as is it so that they can refrain from the use of violence. He said those leaders should uphold justice but at the same time not be selfish by depriving citizens their rights.
