Swazi’s who resides in Mbabane and surrounding areas will next week Friday witness the first ever Gay Parade.

The Gay Parade that is themed turning fear into love is being organised by the  House of Hope organisation, a registered None Government Organisation that support, foster and celebrate minority group and LGBI community in Swaziland. According to their website, the organization’s mission is to build a society in Swaziland that is free from the stigmatization, discrimination and the oppression of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people (this also includes prisoners and sex workers who fall under the listed categories).

Rock of hope will tomorrow officially launch the gay parade tomorrow (22 June 2018) at the Happy Valley hotel. The event has been getting criticism from the people of Eswatini ever since it was announced. In May, parent promised to boycott Swazi MTN after it was announced that there will be some LGBI display during the MTN Bushfire.

Emaswati will not tolerate the destruction of morality and acceptance of sodomy and they (Rock of Hope) should be aware the is no such thing as gay right. This one one of the submission made a member of the public that was reported by the Swazi Observer.  All human rights and fundamental freedoms are enriched in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and can not be twisted to suit anybody’s agenda hence the organisation should do the right thing and the innocence of our child” stated the anonymous source on the Swazi Observer.
