Former Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt has started a trial with another club which is said to be in an integral move to determine his professional football aspirations after his recent training stint with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Bolt, 31, the current 100m world-record holder, has joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund on Thursday morning and will continue in an open session on Friday.
The Jamaican, who claims his favoured position is on the left wing, says his dream move to Manchester United will most likely be decided on a review of his performance over the two days with Die Borussen.
“That will determine for me, personally, if I continue or if I say, ‘You know what? I’m probably not good enough,'” he told ESPN FC. “It’s what happens in the next two days.
“I’ve definitely asked him [Jose Mourinho] for a spot on the team, but as I said, I just want to wait until after the trials to really push and to really pressure,” Bolt said.
“It’s something I said to him, and he said, ‘If you’re serious, we’ll see what happens,’ so let’s see what happens [this week].
