Eswatini Government through Acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku has come out to confirm the death of Makhosi Vilakati who was the Minister of Labor and Social Security.
Vilakati who is also a Member of Parliament for Lagambi Inkhundla passed away on Saturday evening in a South African hospital and he became the third cabinet member to die of COVID-19 in a space of two months.
“His Majesty’s government notifies the Nation of the s passing of Honorable Makhosi Vilakati (MP), the Minister of Labour and Social Security. Honorable Vilakati passed away on Saturday evening at a South African health facility, where he had been admitted for specialized treatment procedure arising from COVID-19 infection,” read the Acting Prime Ministers statement.
