The Municipal Council of Manzini has erected the Hallelujah billboard as per the directive of the country’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development Prince Simelane.
In a letter dated 14 September 2021, the Minister ordered all towns and Municipalities to erect the “Hallelujah” billboards as the prominence praise word within their jurisdictional areas.
“Under His Majesty, King Mswati III, call and Command that the country should flight signs and boards whose face must illuminate the praise word ” HALLELUJAH”, I, Minister of Housing and Urban Development hereby direct all towns and Municipalities to do likewise,” read the Ministerial letter.
The Municipal Council has since abide by the Minister’s orders as on Saturday, workers were seen mounting a billboard illuminating the “Hallelujah” praise word.
