His Majesty King Mswati III has declared tomorrow, Thursday, 18 February 2021 as a National Day of Prayer and Fasting.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe Dlamini who said the Prayer and Fasting will be followed by a Virtual National Prayer Service to mark the beginning of the year 2021 themed “Arresting the spread of COVID-19”.
The Princess encouraged Emaswati to take up a full day fast from morning up until 7 pm in the evening. “Drinking plenty of fluids and taking necessary food supplements is encouraged,” added the Minister.
The Nation was also encouraged to continue praying even after the fasting and to follow the National service on all available electronic media broadcasting platforms.
