Mbabane Highlanders have come out to assure supporters that the club’s Director Ally Kgomongwe is not going anywhere at least for this season.

In a statement that was released by Mbabane Highlanders through their official Facebook Page on Tuesday, the team however confirmed that the possibilities of the Director leaving the team are there but only when the current season ends.

“Do not be shaken, I am a Highlander at Heart. These words from the Great Chief following headlines from the Times of Eswatini dated 23th March 2021,” read the statement.

“He did confirm to the Big Family that indeed he has got a lot of pressure from the Royal Household as he has been officially made Chief of his clan, that he is going nowhere as of now, possibilities are there when the season ends but that will be done professionally. When the time comes professional transition will be done,” announced Mbabane Highlanders.

On the 23^rd March, the Times of Eswatini reported that Ally Kgomongwe had already informed Mbabane Highlander patrons of his intentions to step down mainly due to his business commitments in his home country.

According to these reports, the Mbabane Highlanders boss had confirmed that he will indeed be stepping down.

“Yes, I will be stepping down. I am under pressure from the Royal Family and business commitments. I am branching into mining and my schedule is very tight. But I am going to be meeting the Highlanders patrons to discuss this issue further. I am planning to come to Eswatini on Friday then we can issue a press statement after our discussions,” said Kgomongwe as quoted by the publication.
