The Ministry of Health invites all to join the KaSiko Community Health Day tomorrow, a significant event coinciding with the global celebration of World Health Day held annually on April 7th. This year’s theme, ‘My Health, My Right,’ emphasizes the universal right to healthcare. The event aims to make primary healthcare services accessible to emaSwati, particularly those in less accessible regions, affirming the government’s commitment to health as a fundamental human right.
A broad range of free health services will be available to the public, ensuring inclusivity for individuals of all ages. The scheduled services include child immunizations, HPV vaccinations for young girls, COVID-19 vaccines for those over 12, and essential services covering family planning, HIV, cancer screenings, and more. Healthcare professionals will also address emergencies and provide treatment for minor conditions on-site.
This community-focused health day is an exceptional initiative by the Ministry, bringing vital health services to the doorstep of the community, fostering a healthier Eswatini. The Ministry encourages the public to actively participate and benefit from the comprehensive healthcare services offered.
