His Majesty also called for the bank to continue strengthening ties with international financial institutions to bolster economic strategies beneficial to Eswatini.

Financial Growth and Stability
Dr. Phil Mnisi, Governor of the Central Bank, reported on the health of the financial sector, noting, The banking system remains sound, with strong liquidity buffers and is adequately capitalized. The sector continued to be profitable, demonstrating financial sustainability, which reflects positively on the sector’s stability over the years.
Dr. Mnisi also highlighted the growth of non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), with assets increasing from about E54.9 billion in 2014 to E99.1 billion in 2023. This growth signifies a robust expansion and a healthy financial services sector poised for future challenges and opportunities.
