Lomahasha Member of Parliament Ndumiso Masimula has publicly declared that he will support, and advocate for an elected Prime Minister in the Kingdom of Eswatini saying the current system is oppressive and does not benefit Emaswati in any way.
His announcement follows shortly that of Thimothy Myeni and Simosakhe Shongwe from Nkilingo and Mtsambama Inkhundla respectively who also pledged their support towards the struggle of Emaswati.
Members of Parliament that have been at the forefront of this call were Mduduzi Simelane, Mduduzi Mabuza, and Mthandeni Dube and the number has since risen to six MPs following the addition of the three other MPs.
Speaking during a press briefing on Friday ahead of funerals for the two Lomahasha residents that were killed by a drunk off-duty officer, the Lomahasha MP declared his unwavering support saying he will raise and support all motions aimed at amending the constitution of the country for the betterment of the lives of Lomahasha people and the country at large.
He said with the backup from the Lomahasha residents, he will be seen at the forefront advocating for a democratically elected Prime Minister without harassing nor insulting anyone but rather calling for what is their democratic right.
