Mbabane: Lomahasha Police Station based Twenty Nkosinathi Dlamini, who shot and killed two innocent and unarmed civilians in July has since been released on bail, the Times of Eswatini reported on Tuesday.
Dlamini was arrested for allegedly killing Sgubhu Nyoni and Mpstoli Masilela with a police service pistol after the duo allegedly posed dissenting views on how the Kingdom of Eswatini is governed.
Twenty who was fired by the Police Service after the incident appeared at the High Court last Wednesday in front of Judge Ticheme Dlamini.
He was granted a fixed bail of E50 000. He was however asked to pay E5 000 and provide sureties to the value of E45 000. Twenty was ordered not to set foot at Lomahasha while out on bail.
In his court papers, Dlamini reportedly told the court that he was being attacked by a group of 40 people who wanted to kill him when the two men got shot.
