Her Royal Highness Princess Sikhanyiso who is the substantive Minister of the Information, Communication, and Technology has reportedly returned for work after a yearlong “special” leave.
Her Royal Highness reportedly took a leave in January 2020 and Manqoba Khumalo, the substantive Minister of Commerce Industry and Trade was appointed as the Acting Minister for ICT.
The Princess’s return comes a day after his absence was openly questioned in parliament by Hosea Member of Parliament Bacede Mabuza who questioned the legitimacy of the Acting Minister of ICT.
Her Royal Highness’s return for work was confirmed by Principal Secretary Maxwel Masuku according to reports carried by the Times of Eswatini.
“This was confirmed by Principal Secretary Maxwell Masuku who, however, said more information on the Minister’s return would be communicated in due course,” reported the daily publication.
