Mbabane, 20 June 2021 – MTN iPraise today announced the Top 5 artists selected by the public to perform at this year’s MTN iPraise digital concert on 4 July. The virtual concert is set to take place on Y’ello Hub and will also be hosted on both the MTN and MTN iPraise Facebook pages at no cost to fans and supporters. Music lovers who choose to access the concert on Y’ello Hub will be given discounted data bundles to enjoy the night’s line-up

The artist who got the highest amount of votes is Mduduzi Nezinceku Zamagawugawu who topped the score board with 7830 votes. He was followed by Satis Khumalo who managed to secure himself 7304 votes from supporters. The other artists who made it to the Top 5 include Make Simelane ne Mcebo we Calvary with 6810 votes, Maphatsindvuku with 5439 votes and Africa and Lindo who received 5124 votes. In total more than 46 000 people voted for the MTN iPraise Top 5, a great show of support from music lovers and gospel music fans.

MTN iPraise project manager, Tammy Dlamini commended the Top 5 for their selection and on their tenacity in campaigning for votes with their followers, “We would like to extend well deserved congratulations to our Top 5. The energy that each of them put into gathering votes and promoting themselves is truly inspirational to say the least. This year we are delighted to be able to put on a show whose line-up has been solely selected by Emaswati in every way. As has been mentioned, MTN will offer discounted data bundles for the concert on 4 July. Those who want to access the data bundles can dial *686#, select 1 for Internet/Data bundles and 6 for entertainment and buy
themselves the discounted bundle on or before the concert day. The bundle will only be valid for Y’ello Hub on 4 July and cannot be used once the concert comes to an end”

The President of ACAESWA, Phetsile Masilela who followed the process closely from start to finish also expressed her excitement over the final list, “Initiatives such as MTN iPraise mean a lot to us as performers. That said, I would like to congratulate the artists that the public have selected for this year’s MTN iPraise.
