The National Maize Corporation (NMC) of Eswatini has announced the successful bidders for its recent tender to supply motor vehicles and electric forklifts, with Siyembili Motors trading as Leites Motors and Hyundai Eswatini emerging as the winners.
The combined contracts total over E2.6 million.Leites Motors secured the bulk of the tender with a bid of E1.7 million, while Hyundai Eswatini clinched the electric forklift portion with a bid of E846,971.65. However, Mbabane Motors, another participant, was disqualified due to technical non-compliance with the NMC’s requirements.
The decision to award the contract was made following a competitive bidding process and was published in accordance with Section 45(3)(b) of the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 by the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ESPPRA).
According to ESPPRA, the contract award decision does not constitute a contract itself, and all tenderers have a period of 10 working days from the first publication of the notice to submit any applications for review under Sections 45(4), 46, and 47 of the Act.
