There is light at the end of the tunnel as the Ministry of Health reports that there are only 74 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
In a statement dated 3rd April 2021, Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi reported 2 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 together with 37 recoveries taking the total number of active cases to 74.
“Today, Eswatini recorded 74 active COVID-19 cases. The last recorded cases below 100 were on 7 June 2020,” posted the government in its social media feeds.
The government is currently administering the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID=19 vaccine to old citizens in preparation for the anticipated 3rd wave.
Meanwhile, alcohol is still sold strictly for home use only while gatherings are allowed but under strict health protocols.
