The Republic of China, Taiwan has donated hand sanitizers and Personal Equipment (PPE) both valued at over half a million.

The hand sanitizers are valued at E245 000 while Personal equipment (PPE) were valued at E290 000.

The Donation was received by the Minister of Health Senate Lizzie Nkhosi who said the sanitizers will be distributed to 5 000 community Volunteers while the PPE will be given to health personnel.

“This kind gesture addresses our real need of providing our Community Health Volunteers with applicable supplies to support their  Routine community-based health services while responding to the COVID-19 pandemic & also ensuring that we sustain essential primary health care services like Maternal and Child health even during such difficult times,” said the Minister.

Meanwhile, Tawain Ambassador Jeremy Liang pledged to continue supporting the Kingdom of Eswatini in its fight against the virus.

“The worldwide spread of COVID-19 has shown that disease knows no borders & that no gaps should exist in the global epidemic prevention network. Therefore, as long as the global pandemic does not slow down, Taiwan will continue to contribute to the Kingdom & the world to face the threat coming from COVID-19,” said the Ambassador.
