The Embassy of Taiwan has reaffirmed its strong bilateral ties with Eswatini by donating a vehicle to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the second consecutive year. This gesture is a testament to the deep-rooted friendship and ongoing cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing their mutual commitment to assistance and brotherhood.
During the official handover ceremony, Minister H.E. Pholile Shakantu expressed profound gratitude towards Taiwan, particularly acknowledging Ambassador Jeremy Liang’s efforts in nurturing the relationship between the two countries. “I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Jeremy Liang for the dedication to fostering the fond and close friendship that has always characterized our longstanding bilateral relations,” Minister Shakantu stated. She further highlighted the shared goals of both nations in promoting peace, stability, and development within their regions.

Ambassador Liang commented on the symbolic importance of the donation, viewing it as a foundation for future cooperative ventures and exchanges. “Taiwan and Eswatini will build on this existing foundation to explore more opportunities for cooperation and exchange to further consolidate our diplomatic partnership and jointly advance global development,” he remarked.
The ambassador also emphasized the reciprocal nature of their partnership, especially praising Eswatini’s consistent support for Taiwan in various international arenas. “We are always willing to help each other even when we encounter difficulties. In particular, Eswatini has been a steadfast ally of Taiwan, providing unwavering support on numerous international events,” said Ambassador Liang.
This vehicle donation is not just a symbol of the strong alliance between Taiwan and Eswatini but also a practical contribution to the efficiency and effectiveness of Eswatini’s diplomatic missions. The ceremony underscored the enduring friendship and cooperation that both countries aim to foster, serving as a reminder of their commitment to mutual support and international solidarity.
