The Minister of Labor and Social Security and Lamgabhi Inkundla Member of Parliament Makhosi Vilakati has allegedly died upon arrival in a South African Health Facility, Swaziland News reported on Saturday.
Vilakati who had tested positive for COVID-19 was transferred to a South African hospital to get treatment procedures that are not in the country, however, he was confirmed dead by the online publication a few hours after the government’s announcement.
Meanwhile, the government has not yet confirmed the Minister’s death.
Minister Makhosi Vilakati is the third cabinet member to die of COVID-19 in a space of two months.
The first cabinet member to succumb to this virus was His Excellency Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini who passed away in December last year and was followed by the Minister of Public Service Christian who passed away in January.
