The hosts registered a 2-0 victory over the eight-time champions in Kira, as they bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to Township Rollers in Gaborone on match day one.

The sides went into the break without scoring in the Group A encounter, but KCCA made the most of home ground advantage as they scored twice in the final 16 minutes of the game. Ibrahim Saddam Juma scored in the 74^th minute, before Thomas Awany wrapped things up with a goal from the penalty spot. KCCA are third in their group with three points, while Ahly are bottom on one point, still searching for their first victory in the round robin phase.

In the other Group A match, Tunisian giants Esperance walloped Rollers 4-1 in Rades, inspired by a brace from Anice Badri.

In Group B, DRC giants and reigning Confederation Cup champions TP Mazembe made it six points from their first two matches when they beat Difaa El Jadidi 2-0 in Morocco. Ben Malango, who scored a brace on match day one against Algerian side ES Setif, opened the scoring in the 51^st minute, before Abdoulaye Sissoko sealed all three points four minutes later.

In the other Group B match, MC Alger beat Setif 1-0 in Setif, moving up to second place on four points.

Defending champions Wydad Casablanca are top of Group C on four points after their 3-0 victory over AS Togo Port in Casablanca. Mamelodi Sundowns, who play Barcelona in a friendly match at FNB Stadium tonight, will take on Horoya in Guinea on Sunday in the other Group C match.

Mbabane Swallows, meanwhile, recorded their first ever victory in the Champions League group stages, when they beat Angolan side Primeiro de Agosto in Manzini last night. The 1-0 victory, which was secured by a stunning goal from Felix Badenhorst, leaves them top of the group on four points.

Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel will host Zambian outfit Zesco United in the other group match tonight.
