Residents of Mbangweni (Lawuba) area are not awarded equal chances for being hired as secretaries who will be part of the election team this year.
The residents of the chiefdom are accusing the chiefdom for hiring certain people who will be working as secretaries during the elections. When asked about the criteria used in hiring these staff member, Parliament Speaker and acting chief of Kontshingila Gelani Zwane stated that its the chiefdom’s right to hire secretaries depending on whether they are frequently active enough at the chiefdom and who their parents are.
According to the SBIS news, Shiselweni Regional Administrator Themba Msibi will today (15/05/2018) meet with the members of the Mbangweni Chiefdom in a way to try to solve the ongoing commotion in the area.
