Nyalleng Thibedi who portrays the role of Zekhethelo Mhlongo on South Africa’s most-watched telenovela has confirmed that she will soon exit the show for greener pastures.

Thibedi who plays the role of a controversial step-daughter of number one Gangster in Nkunzebovu Mhlongo recently told Daily Sun, a South African online publication that she is leaving the show but still not sure about her exit date as the writing has not been completed.

“Yes, I’m leaving Uzalo. I’m not sure when my last episode will be because the writing is not completed,” said Thibedi as quoted by the online publication.

Thibedi joined the show in 2017 making her one of the senior acts. His exit follows shortly that of Baby Cele (Gabsile Mdletshe) and Sibongiseni Shibe (Qhabanga).

Meanwhile, Thandeka Dawn King (Mangcobo) and Jet Novuka (Mpambane) had already left the Durban-based production but still appearing on screens.

Following the exit of these characters, Uzalo spiced things up by bringing back old characters to the show. GC and Thobile are back while Nay Maps, and Master Mind will also return soon.
