Zombodze Emuva Member of Parliament Muzi Kunene has settled a E10 000 debt owed by community members of Engwenyameni to the Inhlanyelo Fund.

Inhlanyelo Fund is a poverty elevation scheme that provides small low-interest loans to impoverished Emaswati.

According to reports by the Eswatini Observer, some of the Engwanyameni residents had failed to settle their debt for about 20 years which resulted in the Engwenyameni residence not being able to access loans from this fund.  

The Zombodze Emuva MP came to the rescue of the community members by settling the debt something which may see them having access to the fund again.

Meanwhile, Ngwenyameni Bucopho Vusi Mkhwanazi warned residents not to take advantage of the MP’s generosity.

“It should however, be pointed out that people should not expect the MP to bail them out in future. We should not use him as our ATM. We did not elect him to be abused,” warned Mkhwanazi.
