The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) has notified it, customers, that the company is facing challenges in restoring electricity outages in some parts of the country in a timely manner as roads are blocked by fallen trees, poles, lines, and flooded rivers.

The company’s marketing and Communication department issue a statement where they also revealed that a total of 1 145 electricity faults had been reported so far.

The company also announced that the electricity system is stable and customers should not worry.

“In spite of the heavy rains caused by the cyclone, customers are urged not to worry as our system is currently stable, however we are still monitoring the situation as more rains are anticipated during the course of the week,” read the statement.
