This morning Emaswati flocked in numbers to Ezulwini to deliver a petition to the United States Embassy. This follows a confirmation, earlier this week, from Siphofaneni Member of Parliament, Mduduzi ‘Gawzela‘ Simelane, that the much-anticipated march to the United States Embassy had been give a green light.
Last Sunday, the US Embassy in Eswatini, also acknowledged and expressed that they would welcome the petition if delivered within stipulated rules.
We welcome the delivery of a petition during Embassy business hours, when organizers have secured necessary permits & permissions. We urge that those who participate do so peacefully and according to the rules, even while exercising their right to assemble & express their views. pic.twitter.com/PJKMHTmENo
