Eswatini TV in partnership with MTN Eswatini has successfully launched the Eswatini TV application that will enable Emaswati to have access to Eswatini TV content from wherever they are at affordable prices.

The application was launched by the Acting Minister of Information, Communication, and Technology Manqoba Khumalo who expressed the government’s excitement on the launch of the application.

Khumlalo said the Eswatini TV App is in line with His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision of seeing the country among the developed countries. He said the app also places the Kingdom of Eswatini among the best of the best in the world in terms of the country’s communication strategy.

Meanwhile, Eswatini TV Corporate Affairs Manager Mncedisi Mayisela who was representing the Eswatini TV CEO said they found it important for Eswatini TV to keep up with the trends as the world moves towards the digital era. He said most people are now in their mobile gadgets and other gadgets as opposed to the traditional platforms hence the launch of the App.

The application is now available on Google Play Store and by the time of compiling this report, it had garnered more than 500 downloads.

Videos on demand that had already been uploaded on the application included the popular Ekhaya Drama Series, MTN 2020 SWAMA Awards, Studio 1, and Dr. Shakes to mention just a few.

The Eswatini TV App is one of the “Do The Most” initiatives that were announced by MTN Eswatini in January.  MTN Eswatini Chief Marketing Officer Mncedzi Ngomane assured Emaswati that the MTN Network is ready to support the innovation and they are excited to be part of the initiative.
