Lactalis Eswatini has finally come out to set the record straight on the circulating image of Umcenge milk branded “Hallelujah”.
Following the pronouncement by His Majesty that individuals and companies should erect “Hallelujah” brandings on their properties for at least 30 days, an image of Umcenge Milk pack branded “Hallelujah” started circulating online. The was no confirmation on whether the branding was sanctioned by the company producing the milk or not,
On Wednesday, Lactalis Eswatini, a company that produces the Umcenge Milk, Emndeni, Emvelo, Eselwa, Lobhalaza, Parmalat, and Cabana released an online statement setting the record straight.
“Counterfeit digital manipulated images have been circulating about the Umcenge Milk pack change. We wish to reassure our consumers that there has been no pack Change of the product,” read the statement.
The company revealed that it is part of the world’s largest dairy company: Lactalis Group which is a privately French-based family business with a solid reputation for manufacturing quality brand positions.
“Locally, the company is a staunch supporter of economic growth in the country, specifically in the dairy sector, assisting farmers and sectors related business to grow and prosper,” added the company.
The online statement comes at a time when political parties and other forces pushing for democratic reforms announced that companies linked to the royal family should be boycotted.
