The National Maize Corporation has today received close to E1 million worth of agricultural inputs for winter production from the United Nations, Eswatini government and other partners.
The agricultural inputs will assist 25 small-holder farmers that were impacted by COVID-19 and were handed over to the NMC by the Minister of Agriculture, the UN Resident Coordinator and Sub-region Coordinator for South Africa and FAO Representative.
Speaking during the handover, the UN Resident Coordinator reiterated the United Nation’s commitment to assisting Eswatini in achieving the Agenda 2030 and SDG 2, which seeks to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and further promote sustainable agriculture.
