The Swaziland National Association Teachers (SNAT) is of the view that the external examination for Standard 5 and Form 3 are unnecessary and a financial burden to parents.
The Association expressed this view on Twitter where they were reacting to the announcement of Standard 5 results by the Minister of Education and Training.
The Association said the Form 3 and Standard 5 certificates are no longer relevant and must be stopped.
“Do we still need the EPC/JC Exam for our Education? Our view is: EPC & JC Exams are an unnecessary financial burden to parents. The Certificates are no longer relevant. The MoET should order the ECOS to stop this unnecessary stress to parents & learners,” read the post.
