Trade Union Congress of Swaziland has vowed to stage another big march towards the end of May should government not respond positively on the submitted demands.
According to TUCOSWA Secritary General Mduduzi Gina, the federation will now take to the streets on a monthly basis until their demands are met. On the 13th of April, TUCOSWA submitted a 16 demand petition which included the Cost Of Living Adjustment, E3,500 minimum wage and proper funding of the Free Primary Education among others.
The exact date of the big march are not revealed but if everything goes as planned, TUCOSWA through its affiliates vowed to organise buses from Big Bend, Simunye, Mhlume, Tambankulu, Tshaneni and Piggs Peak as a way of increasing the crowed during the march.
Speaking during the Workers Day earlier this month, Gina further stated that should government not respond to their demands, the Federation will shut down operation where they have membership. This action is set to take place between August and September and the strike on that time would last for at least five days.
