Dlamini said Eswatini just like other countries need to demonstrate an acceptable level of preparedness for the re-opening of schools. He said this needs to take into consideration the full compliance of the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as the Safety Standards of the country.
Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Training Lady Howard Mabuza as much as her Ministry is ready to re-open schools, the challenge is when and how to re-open the schools.
She told one of the country’s dailies that the opening of schools on February 23, is not feasible as they still need to consult with the education stakeholders including the Ministry of Health, Transport Operators, and SNAT.
