MBABANE – The much-anticipated vehicle for the reigning Miss Eswatini, Temvelo Mtsetfwa, is expected to arrive in the kingdom this week, according to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC), Stanley Dlamini.
In a recent interview, Dlamini confirmed that the new car—reportedly a stylish Jacco JT model—had experienced shipment delays but is finally en route to Eswatini. He highlighted that supply chain disruptions were the primary reason for the hold-up, though he expressed confidence that the vehicle would reach the country without further setbacks.
“We had been waiting for the car for a few months, but there were unavoidable delays,” Dlamini said. “We are happy that it is finally arriving this week.”
Once it is officially handed over, Miss Eswatini will be able to use the vehicle for her official duties, including attending public appearances, charity events, and other engagements. According to Dlamini, providing a car is part of enhancing the Miss Eswatini platform—an initiative aimed at equipping titleholders with resources that enable them to carry out their responsibilities more effectively.
A Symbol of Achievement
For Miss Eswatini, receiving this car symbolizes not only the pageant’s commitment to its winners but also the importance of youth empowerment in Eswatini. As the country’s cultural ambassador, Tenevelo Mthethwa will use her new mode of transportation to support social causes, promote local culture, and represent the kingdom at regional and international events.
Elevating the Miss Eswatini Brand
Beyond the prestige of driving a brand-new vehicle, the arrival of the Jacco JT adds an exciting dimension to the Miss Eswatini brand. By providing tangible benefits to its winner, the pageant seeks to inspire more young women to participate and use the platform for community development and personal growth.
Looking Ahead
As the car makes its way into the country, the ENCAC hopes to bolster support for Miss Eswatini and related cultural events. With Tenevelo Mthethwa poised to carry out her duties across Eswatini and beyond, the new vehicle will undoubtedly be a practical asset—one that underscores the kingdom’s commitment to celebrating its beauty queens and investing in cultural ambassadorship.
