The Centre for International Technology (CIT) has postponed the resumption of classes for a further 2 weeks following the acting Prime Minister’s statement banning gatherings of any size with effect from midnight January 8, 2020.
In a memorandum seen by this publication, the CIT Management announced that examinations will not be written during the lockdown period.
“Kindly note that due to the recently effected lockdown measures announced by the Government, the college shall no longer resume operations as earlier indicated. We shall observe the 2 week closure period and await further guidance from authorities. Examinations will not be written during the lockdown period specified above. More communication will be sent to you from time to time. Stay safe always,” read the memorandum which was signed by the College’s Management.
CIT recently made headlines when the College principal Dr. Stanely Gama was accused of allegedly trying to force students to take a COVID-19 test before sitting for their final paper.
