The documentary film Dusty and Stones, which tells the story of two Eswatini musicians who use their talent to overcome poverty and violence, has won more awards at international film festivals.

The film, directed by Eswatini filmmaker Nonhlanhla Dlamini, has recently won the Best Documentary Feature award at the New York International Film Awards, the Best African Film award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, and the Best Documentary award at the South African International Film Festival.

The film follows the lives of Dusty and Stones, two young men from rural Eswatini who use their passion for music to escape their harsh realities. The film showcases their struggles and achievements as they pursue their dreams of becoming successful artists.

The film has also been nominated for several other awards, such as the Best Documentary Feature at the Los Angeles Film Awards, the Best Documentary at the London Independent Film Awards, and the Best African Documentary at the Zanzibar International Film Festival.

The film’s director, Nonhlanhla Dlamini, said she was humbled and honoured by the recognition that her film has received. She said she hopes that her film will inspire other young people in Eswatini and Africa to follow their dreams and use their talents for positive change.
