From empowering women to fostering agricultural innovation and healthcare advancements, Taiwan’s collaborative efforts are driving positive change and strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Empowering Women and Promoting Gender Equality

Taiwan’s Embassy in Eswatini played a pivotal role in advocating for gender equality and empowering Eswatini women through a dedicated workshop held in celebration of International Women’s Day. By convening international partners and fostering dialogue on gender-related issues, Taiwan reaffirmed its commitment to championing women’s rights and promoting their active participation in all aspects of society.
Promoting Women’s Voices on the Global Stage
In a significant gesture of solidarity and support, Taiwan invited Eswatini’s Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla to serve as a speaker at an international forum in New York. Through free medical outreach programs conducted in Shiselweni I and Lomahasha, Taiwan’s medical professionals have served over 1,200 Emaswati individuals, offering essential healthcare services and donating much-needed supplies.

Recognizing the importance of agricultural sustainability, Taiwan has been steadfast in its efforts to support Eswatini’s agricultural sector. Through initiatives such as the establishment of a ‘National Plant Genetic Resource Center,’ Taiwan is preserving the genetic heritage of seed ecosystems, fostering research in vegetable cultivation, and bolstering food security efforts in the country.
