VitalTalks to Spotlight Link Between Physiology and Mental Health in the Workplace

Chakaza Diagnostics is set to host the second edition of VitalTalks this Friday, May 30, 2025, under the theme “How Physiological Changes Impact Workplace Mental Health.” The much-anticipated event will take place at the MVA Conference Room in Mbabane, running from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This edition of VitalTalks aims to address a critical but often overlooked topic: how physiological changes such as pregnancy, chronic pain, menopause, and physical disabilities affect mental wellbeing and job performance. The session will provide a platform for professionals to explore the intersection between the body and mind in high-pressure work environments.

“Behind every desk is a story – sometimes of physical change or silent struggle. Our goal is to humanize workplace wellness and ensure that mental health support speaks to the realities employees are living through,” said Mpendulo Steven Ndwandwe, Chakaza Diagnostics MD and the event’s coordinator and moderator.

Dr. Advocate Dlamini, Chief Medical Officer at Ekuphileni Clinic

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Advocate Dlamini, Chief Medical Officer at Ekuphileni Clinic, who will share insights on building mentally healthy workplaces. Additional sessions will focus on identifying burnout, delivering mental health first aid, and equipping leaders with compassionate tools to support staff.

Participants can also look forward to a lively expert panel discussion and an interactive self-care demonstration aimed at encouraging practical well-being habits.

Targeting HR professionals, healthcare workers, managers, and students in the health sector, the event is expected to attract between 40 and 50 attendees. Each participant will receive a mental health resource kit and a certificate of attendance.

The VitalTalks platform, created by Chakaza Diagnostics, continues to grow as a trusted space for dialogue around health education and policy. With the upcoming session, Chakaza seeks to not only inform but inspire meaningful change in the way workplaces approach mental wellness.

Tickets are still available at E500 and can be purchased through Chakaza Diagnostics. Interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spot early as space is limited.
